What is Ag in the Classroom?

Ag in the Classroom (AITC) is our program with Illinois Ag in the Classroom to teach grade school students about where their food comes from, careers in agriculture, nutritional facts, and healthy eating, and meet farmers. Our coordinator, Lexi Birrittier, works with teachers to provide lessons, hands-on experiences, and science experiments on agriculture to local students. For the 2024-2025 school year we are focusing on 3rd grade classrooms.
